Martel Performance is a forward-thinking wellness brand designed for high-performing athletes, and those aspiring to be.
Founded by a team of experts including NHS sleep specialists and ex-Liverpool FC chefs, Martel brings together elite knowledge in nutrition, performance, and recovery. Their goal is to offer credible, science-backed support that helps individuals reach their physical and mental peak.
Through structured meal plans, expert guidance, and educational content, Martel is all about performance without the fluff.

The Problem
Martel Performance had the right people and a strong vision, but they needed help translating that into a brand and digital presence. Their existing assets didn’t reflect the elite, science-backed nature of what they offered, or the credibility of the team behind it.
They came to Sood for guidance on brand positioning, a new visual identity, and a website that could clearly communicate their values and services to the right audience.
The Solution
Branding
We began by diving deep into Martel’s values and goals through a tailored brand workshop. It was clear from the start they wanted to be seen as experienced, elite, and trustworthy, so we made sure that was reflected in everything we created.
The new logo mark symbolises Martel’s three core pillars: nutrition, performance, and recovery. These elements are woven into an infinite loop, reflecting the holistic, ongoing nature of athletic development. We also embedded an abstract “M” into the design, supported by bold letterforms that convey both strength and innovation – exactly what their audience expects.
For the colour palette, we went with a vibrant mix of gradients and neutrals that speaks to both energy and technical expertise, creating a look that feels fresh, elite, and grounded in science.
We paired this with modern, confident typefaces – strong, readable headlines paired with clean body text – to maintain both energy and professionalism across every touchpoint.
Finally, we created a full brand pack featuring real-world mockups across social media, posters, and printed materials. This gave the Martel team everything they needed to roll out their brand consistently and effectively.
Web Design
Once the branding was locked in, we moved onto the website, built in Elementor and fully aligned with the design philosophy we had just established.
The homepage immediately highlights Martel’s two main focus areas: Nutrition and Sleep. Each has its own dedicated page, clearly outlining why it matters and how Martel can help – either through weekly meal plans, expert advice, or personalised guidance.
To build trust and humanise the brand, we included expert profiles throughout the site. These showcase the impressive credentials behind Martel – including NHS professionals and ex-Liverpool chefs – helping visitors feel secure in the quality and credibility of what’s on offer.
A new membership section gives users a choice between Free and Premium options, each offering varying levels of access to content like meal plans and educational resources. A prominent “Join Now” button in the header, and a homepage pop-up, help drive users to sign up after seeing the value Martel provides.
To further build credibility, we placed testimonials throughout the site to highlight the real-world impact Martel’s work has had. We also included logos of respected institutions like Liverpool FC, Everton FC, Warrington Wolves, and the NHS, instantly communicating trust and reputation.
The Conclusion
Martel Performance now has a brand and website that not only looks the part but functions as a trusted platform for athletes looking to improve performance and recovery. From clear messaging to expert-led content, we’ve helped position Martel for serious growth in the performance and wellness space.
